Proper Ball Position Is Vital
Proper ball position is vital to compressing the ball, which produces consistent shots that fly high and stop quickly.
One easy method is to make a couple of relaxed golf swings. Watch where the club enters the ground. Often, we have the ball too far forward and too far from our body.
After making a couple of good relaxed swings, note where the club enters the ground. Position the ball in that spot and swing with the same relaxed swing.
You will be amazed at the instant results you will achieve.
This method is great for hilly lies. I have students that ask where to play the ball on an uphill lie or a downhill or sidehill lie. My answer is always the same. Take two relaxed practice swings to see where the club enters the ground and position the ball in that spot.
